Education stakeholders are sounding the alarm over what they term as gross mismanagement and underfunding of schools after the government disbursed kshs 22 billion for the second term capitation. Speaking in Kisumu, KNUT officials claimed some schools received as little as 87 shillings in capitation, a figure they say is not just shocking but a threat to the future of education. According to KNUT, parents should gradually start preparing to pay for school fees again in the near future.
