Underfunding of the energy sector will have a ripple effect on Kenyans. These are the words of energy and petroleum Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir who says that the cost of power will continue to rise if the sector is not adequately funded by the National Treasury. Speaking while appearing before the energy parliamentary committee, CS Chirchir said the budget policy statement has left out key priority areas that could have cushioned Kenyans from costly power.
