Hundreds of farmers at the rehabilitated Ondago Swamp in Homa Bay County are set to benefit as the government begins purchasing rice paddy from their farms. The initial harvest covers about 200 acres and is expected to add an estimated 800 tonnes of rice to the country's food basket. Laura Otieno reports on how the once-degraded swamp has been transformed into productive farmland.
