Approximately 21 shops were gutted by fire in the early hours of the morning at Kericho Stage, with the value of the destroyed property yet to be determined, police have confirmed.The fire, which broke out around 9 PM, could not be extinguished in time, with many blaming the slow response of the Kericho County fire brigade for the extensive damage witnessed.According to victims, the only fire response team that showed up was from a major tea company, Finlays. By the time help arrived, nothing could be salvaged from the incident.Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
