Flood death toll rises to 49 as thousands displaced across Kenya

The death toll from last Friday’s floods in Nairobi and across the country now stands at 49. The national police service says more than 2,600 families have been displaced by the raging waters. Four days after the deadly storm, many are still searching for loved ones swept away, while others count losses running into hundreds of millions of shillings.
