Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua appeared before the National Assembly Tuesday evening to defend himself against the impeachment claims terming them baseless. In what appeared to be a shift in his demeanor from a press briefing he held on Monday night, Gachagua pleaded with legislators not to persecute him for trying to do his job urging them to disregard the 11 allegations against him.
