New double world champion Faith Kipyegon is back in the country, promising the world more historic moments at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.And so is freshly-minted 800 metres world champion, the "Kisii Express" Mary Moraa. Kipyegon, 29, says she will now be targeting three gold medals in the 10,000, 5,000 and 1,500 metres races at the Paris Olympic Games. She also wants to attempt the 10,000m world record to add to her hat-trick of world records celebrated this year in the 5,000m, 1,500m and one-mile races. Kipyegon won the 1,500m and 5,000m double at last week's World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. For Moraa, 23, the Olympic gold in the two-lap race is in her crosshairs for Paris 2024. Moraa is also the Commonwealth champion over the distance.
