    The government has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving 100 percent water connectivity and sanitation coverage across Kenya by the year 2030. Speaking in Nairobi, Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eng. Eric Mugaa said the government is mobilizing resources and investing heavily in water infrastructure projects to improve water access nationwide. Eng. Mugaa highlighted ongoing projects, including the construction of major dams such as the Mwache Dam, which is currently over 70 percent complete, alongside partnerships with development agencies like the African Development Bank. He noted that the initiatives are aimed at achieving Sustainable Development Goal Six on clean water and sanitation for all.
