The two engaged in a war of words OVER their respective responsibilities in devolved government. Khalwale told governor Barasa to steer off the 2027 politics and instead complete the projects initiated by former governor Wycliffe Oparanya. In response, Gov Barasa told him off saying the senator’s role is oversight and not to direct him ON how to implement his manifesto.
