Uasin Gishu County Governor Jonathan Bii is challenging churches to place philanthropy at the heart of the gospel. Governor Bii argues that the church is well placed to educate needy students and economically empower their afflicted flock. The county boss has in the meantime urged the clergy to join the anti-female genital mutilation campaign, and preach against FGM and other retrogressive cultural practices.
