The Council of Governors has dismissed claims by the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists union concerning deaths of 136 children in Kiambu County due to the ongoing doctors’ strike. According to the council, health services are ongoing in the County, and the allegations are meant to tarnish the name of Kiambu Governor Kimani wa Matangi. Meanwhile, the council has retained Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi to serve as its chairperson for a second term.
