Govt defends sale of 15% Safaricom stake, Kiptoo says it was best deal available

The government now says it is ready for any other individual with a better offer than the 34 SHILLINGS per share being offered by the vodacom, in the divestiture of Safaricom PLC. Speaking when he appeared before the National Assembly plenary in Naivasha, Treasury Principal Secretary Dr. Chris Kiptoo defended the sale of 15 PERCENT to the South African telco saying it was the best deal yet.
