Govt launches mobile mass ID registration drive in pastoralist regions

The government has rolled out a mass national ID registration drive, starting with pastoralist communities, in a bid to end marginalization and promote equity in service delivery. Interior and National Administration Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, who launched the initiative in West Pokot County, says IDs will be ready for collection in just three days, as lengthy vetting processes have been scrapped to speed up registration.
