Kenya has scaled up its ability to prevent, detect, and effectively respond to the spread of zoonotic diseases among animals and people. This follows the launch of two key guidelines namely the Rift Valley fever contingency plan and the Human brucellosis testing guidelines. The new guidelines are expected to enhance coordination across sectors and protect both lives and livelihoods.
