The National Museums of Kenya has convened an international conference aimed at exploring ways of commercialising traditional knowledge into economic assets.
The international investment conference and trade fair on indigenous knowledge intellectual assets brought together policymakers, researchers, investors, and indigenous communities focusing on turning indigenous assets such as traditional medicine, cultural practices, crafts, and food systems into marketable products, while ensuring that local communities retain ownership and benefit financially from their knowledge.
