Gov't vows to intensify crackdown on drugs

Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen says government will intensify its war on synthetic drugs across the country. Speaking during the launch of the fourth high-level consultation meeting and flagship report launch in nairobi, murkomen expressed concerns over the increase in the abuse and smuggling of synthetic drugs which he said have contributed to increased health complications and crime rates. Meanwhile, the commison led by former South African President Kgalema Motlanthe has called for evidence-based policies in fighting drugs.
