Millions of Muslims from around the world are expected to make the journey to Mecca in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage this year, which takes place between 4 and 9 June this year. Muslims are required to make the journey at least once in their life if they are physically able and can afford to do so. Here is an explainer on how the Hajj takes place.
