The government has officially phased out one-time passwords (OTP) for social health authority verification, replacing them with a mandatory biometric identification system across all level 4, 5, and 6 health facilities. Speaking at the launch of the biometric health identification system at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral, and Research Hospital, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale said that all SHA approvals must now be completed using biometric health IDs or the new Practice 360 app.
