HEALTH OFFICIALS PUSH FOR UNIFIED RESPONSE TO RISING ZOONOTIC DISEASE THREATS

Kenya has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening health emergency response through the operationalisation of the Kenya National Public Health Institute (KNPHI) amid rising zoonotic disease threats. Speaking at the inaugural Kenya Health Security Convention 2026 in Mombasa, Medical Services PS Dr Ouma Oluga said the country has laid a strong legal and policy foundation to support health security and emergency preparedness.
