Health PS Muthoni warns administrators against charging patients in level 2 & 3 hospitals

Health Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni has warned hospital administrators profiting from patients registered under the Social Health Authority, saying they risk arrest. Speaking at a citizen forum in Kirinyaga, Muthoni said officials at Level 2, 3, and 4 hospitals who charge SHA-registered patients will face prosecution. Her warning came with a caveat that health matters should not be politicized, AND urged Kenyans to follow proper procedures in seeking health care services.
