The High Court has temporarily halted the implementation of the Presidential Multi-Agency Team on the War Against Corruption (MAT-WAC), until a petition filed challenging its legality is heard and determined. Judge Bahati Mwamuye issued the orders on Wednesday following a case lodged claiming the move by the President is unconstitutional and amounts to duplication of roles already vested in existing independent institutions like the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commissions among others.
