Informal sector players air the views on the 3% housing fund

The finance bill 2023 should undergo amendment to ensure that proper framework for implementation of some of the proposals is factored in. This is according to finance committee chair Kimani kKuria who spoke on the sideline of the public participation exercise, who noted that some of the proposals are not in line with the constitution and must be amended to avoid collision with the constitution. The informal sector threw its weight behind the housing levy proposals but sought a proper framework where they can contribute to the housing levy.
