Principal Secretary in charge of internal security and national administration Dr. Raymond Omollo has appealed to Members of the National Assembly and Senators to strengthen cyber laws to curb computer misuse in the wake of the fast-paced advancements in technology.
Omollo said that although technology is an important communication tool, it is prone to misuse. Speaking during a Coast Parliamentary Group retreat in Kisumu, PS Omollo told the legislators that the Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act enacted in 2018 needs strengthening to address emerging cases of computer misuse in the country.
