Over 300 intern nurses whose appointment was revoked marched to the Ministry of Health headquarters to demand the release of their letters. The students, drawn from different universities, strongly opposed Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale’s decision to cancel their letters, saying they had already begun working in various health facilities for more than three weeks before the cancellation. They dismissed the CS's reason that they should not serve before graduation as invalid, arguing that some of them had already graduated and had been issued letters to begin serving in the facilities. They vowed to continue with the protest until their demands are met.
