The team has instead left for Morocco to begin early preparations for the Under-17 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Run VCR The national Under-17 team has been in camp since the beginning of September, training and playing friendly matches against local sides. Coach Mildred Cheche is hoping the team can secure a few friendly matches against teams that will also arrive in Morocco early. Going to Morocco directly could also prove beneficial, as the team will have enough time to acclimatize to the conditions ahead of the tournament. The FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup starts on October 17, with the final scheduled for November 7.
