Kachapin warns of encroachment

West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin has raised concern over the increasing encroachment of forest within the county, urging immediate action to stop residents from cutting trees to expand their farms.Governor Kachapin said that the efforts being put by the government to plant more trees are reversed due to uncontrolled encroachment of forests. He said that he will set aside resources to ensure forests are protected from further encroachments.
