A section of lorry transporters from Kaguma Quarry in Central Imenti Meru County has threatened to increase transport charges as a result of reducing the capacity of the load they carry as they implement Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) weighbridge rules and regulations. Lorry and truck owners, drivers, and quarry operators are now pleading with customers to bear with them even as KeNHA intensifies the positioning of officials at various cess collection points to ensure conformity.
