The first phase of the Kamukunji constituency empowerment program, targeting at least 1,700 young people, has kicked off at Kamukunji technical and vocational training college. Speaking during the launch, the area member of parliament emphasized the importance of technical and vocational training funded through the NG-CDF, noting that the program focuses on skills such as plumbing, electrical engineering, driving, hairdressing, catering, and ict, among others. He said the training will equip young Kenyans with practical skills to earn sustainable livelihoods. The program, which is also being implemented in partnership with the ymca, targets at least 5,000 more youths in the second and third phases.
