Four families from Tuthu in Kangema Constituency, Murang'a County, are living in anguish months after the mysterious disappearance of their loved ones. Despite tirelessly searching in various hospitals and visiting morgues in Nairobi, the families say there has been no trace or information on their whereabouts. They are now appealing for government and public intervention as the prolonged uncertainty is taking a heavy emotional toll on them. Antony Gitere, who is searching for his son, Erick Joseph Irungu, last seen in March this year, says he once received a tip that his son might have been admitted to Mathare Hospital, but was denied access to verify, an experience he says has deepened his family's distress.
