The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has assured passengers and airlines that Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) remains safe and fully operational as the tendering process for the expansion of the airport’s runway and terminals nears completion.
Speaking during the 7th EAC Aviation Symposium in Mombasa, Nicholas Bodo said the planned upgrade will include rehabilitation of the existing runway, expansion of terminals, and construction of a new terminal expected to handle up to 10 million passengers annually.
