The road to the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics starts in New Delhi, India, next week with the World Para Athletics Championships. Kenya is among the countries that will participate in the championships that start on the 27th of September and run to the 5th of October. The Kenya team of 24 athletes is training at different venues, including Kasarani, Kenyatta University, Ulinzi Sports Complex, Kenya Prisons, and Kapsabet. Other than long distance, the Kenya team has field event athletes in long jump, shot put, and javelin throw. All the athletes will meet in Nairobi before departing for India on the 24th of September. The Kenya National Paralympics Committee, which has been preparing the athletes, is confident of a good performance as the athletes chase early qualification for the Los Angeles Paralympic Games.
