Kenya has officially kicked off preparations to host the World Under-21 taekwondo championship from 3rd to 6th December 2025 at the Kasarani Gymnasium. According to the local organising committee led by the taekwondo federation chairman Suleiman Sumba, more than 150 countries are set to take part in the championship. The tournament will also be used to prepare young players for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. The event will be targeted to create awareness on climate action through adopting green themes, including planting trees and supporting the adoption of clean energy sources.
