The government will extend amnesty to Kenyans recruited to serve in Russia Special Mission Operations. According to the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, it is illegal for Kenyans to be enlisted into foreign military or armed forces without written authority of the President. Mudavadi's visit to Moscow secured an agreement that will see Kenyans currently in the operations and unwilling to continue, disengaged and freed to travel back home. Meanwhile, 15 Kenyans evacuated from Iran have arrived in the country.
