Kenya is set to host a Regional summit that will spotlight how artificial intelligence can power inclusion for millions of persons with disabilities across the continent. Head of communication Green and Digital Innovation Hub GDIH Louise Gebbett says people living with disability in the country will soon benefit from AI power assistive devices. This he says is as a result of commitments by innovators, investors and policymakers aimed at moving beyond dialogue and catalyzing action that transforms local innovation into scalable impact for the country’s economy growth. The summits come at a time when the persons with disability act 2025 has introduced a rights based framework that recognizes assistive Technology as an essential service.
