President William Ruto says Kenya is set to roll out a multiple-entry Electronic Travel Authorization for cruise ship tourists at the port of Mombasa. Addressing journalists at the cruise ship terminal, the president stressed the government’s commitment to advertising the country as a preferred tourism destination. He urged the private sector to take advantage of the increased number of domestic and international tourists visiting the country and invest more in the hospitality industry. He stated that the country targets welcoming five million tourists by 2027, up from 2.4 million in 2024.
