Kenyan officer killed in Haiti ambush confirmed by police service

The National Police Service (NPS) has confirmed the death of a Kenyan officer who went missing in Haiti earlier this week, delivering heartbreaking news to his family and colleagues. The officer had disappeared on March 25, 2025, following an ambush along the Carrefour Paye-Savien supply route in Artibonite Department while serving in the Kenyan-led Multinational Security Support Mission (MSSM). Despite days of search and rescue operations by the MSSM and the Haitian National Police, confirmation of his death came on September 25, 2025.
