Public Health Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni has cautioned members of the public seeking care under the Social Health Authority against going to referral hospitals without being referred from the lower levels. The PS said that the first point of treatment should be level 2,3, and 4. PS Muthoni also cautioned the lower-level hospitals against charging patients registered under SHA, while at the same time defending the Lipa SHA Pole pole program.
