Kenyans will be forced to dig deeper into their pockets to pay for electricity, following a directive by the energy and regulatory authority, EPRA, That has increased the cost of power by 16.5 percent. EPRA says the energy charge will be collected by Kenya Power on behalf of thermal power generators, to cover their fuel costs. Kenyans have expressed their displeasure over the government’s move, saying it will directly affect their household expenditure.
