More than 8,544 Primary School and Junior Secondary school learners across 90 schools in Kipkelion East, Belgut, Ainamoi, Kipkelion West and Bureti in Kericho County have benefited from free sanitary towels. While launching the distribution at Barotion Primary School in Kipkelion East, Kericho County, women member of national assembly Beatrice Kemei said the initiative is aimed at ensuring no school going girl will miss class due to her menses .Availability of sanitary towels have been a challenge to girls in these region greatly affecting learning outcomes for the girl child.
