KHRC moves to sue UDA over alleged Sh69m tax evasion case

The Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) has threatened to sue the ruling party, the united democratic alliance (UDA), and its officials over alleged tax evasion and misuse of public funds. While citing the auditor general's report, the lobby group alleged that UDA failed to remit up to 69 million shillings in Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) taxes during the 2023/24 and 2024/25 financial years, despite disbursing over KSh128 million in net salaries.
