The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) is set to begin a health survey, under the Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS) in November 2025. The survey which is expected to end in 2026, aims to provide updated data on population and health, guiding both National and County Governments in planning and policy formulation. According to Public Health Officer Dr. David Soti, the findings will provide key health indicators, to track progress on Universal Health Coverage, childhood immunization, skilled healthcare delivery, and contraceptive use. The survey will also address sexual and gender-based violence, including technology-facilitated abuse linked to social media usage, among other emerging issues.
