Leadership wrangles have hit the Devolution Empowerment Party (DEP), associated with former Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi. Speaking in Meru town when he met political party leaders in Meru county chapter, the party National secretary general Mugambi Manyara said he would go to court to sue the former Meru Governor for holding two offices and gazetting himself as mBUS Party leader. He accused former Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi of installing himself as the party's National Chairman without due process.
