    Duration: 2:28
As African migrants return home from South Africa following a wave of anti-migrant protests and growing fears for their safety, the BBC meets some of those who have been forced to start over in Ghana and Nigeria. Diplomatic tensions between South Africa and some countries have risen in recent weeks, as returnees describe leaving behind their homes, jobs and livelihoods. Now back home, they face the difficult reality of rebuilding their lives - searching for work, supporting their families and trying to find hope again. They tell the BBC about the aspirations that took them to South Africa, the experiences that made them leave, and the challenges of starting again.
