Lotee defends Ruto’s role in Gideon Moi’s Baringo senatorial withdrawal

Kacheliba MP Titus Lotee has defended President William Ruto’s involvement in the Baringo senatorial by-election, saying his move to secure KANU chairman Gideon Moi’s withdrawal was intended to protect him from possible humiliation in defeat. Speaking during a TV interview on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Lotee said Ruto acted to preserve unity and prevent political embarrassment for Moi.
