Two people including a police reservist have been apprehended following inter-clan land clashes at Mogil valley in Elgeyo Marakwet county that left three people dead
The Thursday night clashes were instigated by a boundary dispute as clans battled for pastoral land. Community leaders however led a peace meeting on Friday in a bid to foster an agreement between the warrying clans, with security agencies vowing to crack the whip on those who planned and participated in the skirmishes. Residents of Mogil appealed for the issuance of title deeds in order to quell the intermittent land disputes.
