Mbui dismisses Ruto’s Nyota Fund as political gimmick

Kathiani MP Robert Mbui has criticised President William Ruto’s newly launched National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) programme, calling it a political public relations stunt rather than a genuine empowerment plan. Speaking on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Mbui argued that NYOTA mirrors previous youth and women funding schemes, only rebranded with a new name for political mileage.
