Meeting held to resolve Tana River-Kitui border dispute

Following increased cases of insecurity along Tana River. Kitui borders, the National Government has organized high level meetings to resolve the growing disputes. During the latest meeting held at Mwingi town which brought together three county commissioners the leaders reaffirmed their commitment towards restoring peace in the border areas through sustainable dispute resolution methods.Kitui county commissioner Kipchumba Rutto and his Garissa counterpart Mohamed Mwabudzo urged the communities to avoid clashes that could lead to loss of lives by advocating the consideration of healthier alternatives.
