    A prominent Miraa farmer in Igembe North, Meru County, is counting losses after unknown persons set his three-acre farm ablaze. The incident has shocked the local community, which depends heavily on Miraa as a source of livelihood. The farm, owned by Kamakia Arunga from Kinisa Amwathi in Igembe North, was set on fire last evening by unknown persons. The farmer has reported the incident to the Kinisa police post and the Njuri Ncheke Ameru council of elders. Police and elders have told the suspects to surrender or face untold consequences.
