Mount Kenya University (MKU) founder and chairman, Prof. Simon Gicharu, has announced a donation to construct Early Childhood Development (ECD) classrooms at two schools in Rwanda—one in Kigali and another in a rural area outside the capital.
The commitment was officially handed over to Elodie Shami, Director General of the Imbuto Foundation, as part of MKU’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.
Prof. Gicharu commended the Foundation's work in uplifting vulnerable children, particularly girls, by expanding access to quality education. He noted that the new classrooms will help give young learners a strong educational foundation and a brighter future.
