Members of Parliament now want the Kenya Prisons Service to utilise their vast land resource in revenue generation and avoid relying on government allocations to improve their infrastructure. The National Assembly’s Constitutional Implementation Oversight Committee, while engaging the commissioner of prisons Patrick Aranduh, also called for a forensic audit on revenue being generated by the prisons service claiming there is lack of transparency.
